Latin 103

Your depth of understanding, not only of Latin grammar and syntax but also of Roman culture, has increased substantially since the beginning of the course and we are increasingly tailoring the content to your individual goals. After this module, you will have learned all the grammatical concepts you could reasonably expect to encounter in a Latin text and you’ll be reading immense Ciceronian sentences with aplomb. When you complete the text, you will have a Latin vocabulary of well over 1,000 words, which, when combined with prefixes and suffixes, constitute the roots of a vast amount of the English vocabulary. After this course, you’re ready to tackle advanced readings from the authors of your choice, and we would be quite happy to put together a custom reading course for you based on an author, genre, or historical period.
